Paying attention to the percentage of plagiarism is required not only while checking your newly written work for plagiarism, but also while reusing your already written and submitted works.

There are some situations when using your own text for the second time with some changes or even without them is appropriate, for example:

You can use your scientific article in your dissertation. In this case, you can reuse it without introducing many changes by citing some ideas, parts of the content, and references. But before doing it, ask your supervisor, if it’s acceptable in this particular situation. Also, you can use your already written scientific articles for writing a monograph or another article and reference them as sources.
