Social Constructivism

This was a concept that was expounded by post-revolutionary Soviet psychologist, Lev Vygotsky. As with individual constructivism, social constructivism also believes that a learner constructs his or her own reality, but now it’s a group of individuals who are working in collaboration to construct multiple realities. This is because learning is now a collaborative process and every learner is bringing his or her own perspective to this learning. Therefore, learning will have multiple perspectives.
