Ted Talk Resilience: 3 Strategies To Overcome Hardship

As a college student amid a global pandemic, I’ve experienced my fair share of obstacles and setbacks. When I was accepted to Syracuse University almost three years ago, I thought I had a clear vision of what I thought my four years would look like! I was going to study abroad in London, England, I was going to attend every sports game in person, and I would make college the best four years of my life.  

However, as I approach my 4th and final year at SU, I’ve reflected on my experiences. While my time in college didn’t go as expected, I definitely learned a lot about myself and about my strength to overcome challenges. I’ve learned that I can still get all A’s even when my classes are all on Zoom. I’ve learned that I can still make strong connections with my friends over a screen thousands of miles away. And I’ve learned that I can find a way past any obstacle that comes in my way!
