The 5 fundamentals of great online course branding

When most people think of online course branding, they think “branding” means design.

But the reality is, branding is so much more than just visual design.

Branding is the entire makeup of what you’re offering, starting with visual design, but extending into how you communicate your mission, message, and vision.

Branding also encompasses things like how you interact with your customers, how you package your products, and so on.

Let’s look at Apple as an example (FYI: we use Apple as an example throughout this article).

Apple offers beautifully-designed products, but imagine how different their brand would be if they all they offered was great engineering and pleasing aesthetics.

It is their full brand — from products and packaging to messaging and tone — that helps deliver an experience that’s incredibly specific and defined.
