The eBook Landscape For The iPad In Schools

This was drafted two years ago, but I think it still deals with a gap in access to electronic books in schools. Since then Google has entered the market with what may be a workable solution through their Play for Education store, though I have not had the time to investigate. myON by Capstone has the subscription service that we have been wanting. We have used the last two years and students generally like it, though they are lacking in “chapter books” that many of our students and teachers are more interested in. This is a licensing issue for Capstone, but they a lot of variety in the books they do offer. Subtext has also made some headway into this, but do not think they have cracked it either.
