Nowadays it feels like half the internet is dominated by “how to” videos and blog posts. You’d think that we’d never really learned how to function in today’s society. And the problem is, writing that somehow doesn’t even feel wrong. But I’m not going to write another “how to…” blog post. At least, not today.
Today I’d rather ask: since when did we become so utterly unprepared for the world around us? Well I think it might have something to do with technology. Or more specifically, when technology started evolving faster than our global education system.
At some point, the norm has become learning important life skills on the internet, whether via YouTube videos, blogs and/or online courses. Why? Because they offer the chance to learn the skills that are relevant to our lives, the careers we want to pursue and the people we want to become.
