One in four adults feel lonely some or all of the time.

Mental Health Awareness week has come around again this week, from May 9th to May 15th – this time with the theme being ‘Loneliness’. It’s quite a big topic as loneliness can have a major contribution to a person’s mental health. Keeping in touch with friends and family over lockdown was one of the ways we explained that people were keeping positive last mental health awareness week – and so now this theme will link in with that. 

The pandemic has meant that we’ve had far less access to our loved ones, or even if we’ve been able to stay in contact online it can still mean feeling lonely in everyday life. This can really affect someone’s mental health, so make sure to try and check in with loved ones as much as you can, even if just a small visit!
