Tutor of the Week: Meet Akram

Akram knew at a young age that knowledge should be shared with others. At the age of 10, she began holding summer classes for her sister and friends in her neighborhood. These classes became so popular that she continued to run them for three consecutive years. Today, she is not only one of our busiest Science tutors, she also works as a research TA and is currently pursuing a PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the University of British Columbia. During her free time she takes advantage of the numerous hiking paths in Vancouver, B.C., and is training to run a marathon. If it’s rainy, like Vancouver often is, she enjoys browsing the library for something new to read and learn.
