Using Glossary Interactions to Explore America’s Park Systems

Interactive glossaries which are used to define vocabulary terms, explain technical acronyms and provide an understanding of cultural phrases, are commonly used in e-Learning. In this week’s E-Learning Heroes challenge, Using Glossary Interactions in E-Learning #192, the challenge was to share an interactive glossary to show how it could be used in e-Learning.

While I was browsing through some of the photos available in the Articulate 360 content library for inspiration, I found this beautiful image.  I thought it would make a great title screen so I added a transparent circle, a text title, and a simple start button. For the colors, I sampled from the image in the background.

For the next slide, I wanted to provide an introduction to the National Park Service along with a brief background on national parks in general. The text information was obtained from Wikipedia.
