Using Text-To-Speech in e-Learning!

Are you participating in the e-Learning Heroes weekly challenges? If not, you are really missing out on some opportunities to improve your development skills.  This week’s challenge is titled,  13 Sound Ideas for Using Text-to-Speech in E-Learning #223.  As you can guess from the title, it’s all about using Text-To-Speech. For my submission this week, I decided to go with a short sample that uses TTS to explain the anatomy of an electric guitar.

After doing some adjustments with speed and pitch, I think I was able to match the rough sound of an old rock musician who has been smoking a little too much. I called him Randy Steele! Combined with a British female (e.g., his sidekick Axe), I think it turned out pretty well for 30 minutes of work!
