This summer the Globe University-Woodbury veterinary technology students attended the annual AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) convention in Boston. The students attended representing the student chapter of AVMA, otherwise known as SCNAVTA.
According to the director of the conference, NAVTA had a strong presence at the conference, and was represented in a variety of ways.
“The students were thrilled to have the opportunity to network with industry professionals,” said Heather Holmgren, director of SCNAVTA and veterinary technology instructor at the Globe University-Woodbury campus.
According to Holmgren, the students gained an inside perspective of learning more about the continuing education within the veterinary technology field as well as learning more about product and services within our field.
