Samantha Engel is practicing what she is learning in the classroom on an everyday basis. Not only is she in the veterinary technology program at the Globe University-Eau Claire campus, but she is also working at the Eau Claire Animal Hospital, a job she learned about through the school.
“A lot of people can’t say that they’re working at a place they’re going to school for,” says Samantha. “I have to thank Globe for that.”
One of the things Samantha likes about the program at Globe University is that her instructors are actively working in the field. She knows this first-hand, as one of her co-workers at the clinic is also one of her teachers.
“It’s really nice having that connection with an instructor both in a school setting and also at work,” says Samantha. “All my instructors are practicing doctors and technicians, so they are up to date with their techniques and know exactly what happens in a clinic. They are knowledgeable in what they teach and know what they’re doing.”
