There are many reasons why you might want to move a PowerPoint project into Captivate. This past week, I invited Taylor Ehlert, our resident PowerPoint Evangelist to join me in a webinar highlighting six tips you should follow if you plan to move your PowerPoint projects into Captivate. Taylor talked about checking your aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9), working with animations to ensure a smooth transition from PPT to Captivate, transferring audio (video won’t transfer), and working with objects. Then, I touched on how to set up the import using High Fidelity and Linking (versus embedding) the presentation; how to re-sync, once changes are made, and how to edit slides once the link is complete.
During the webinar a couple questions were asked, but not answered, so I’d like to address them here.
