Gone are the days when gurus or teachers held the monopoly on distributing information. The advent of the internet (and infinite possibilities that came along with it) has fundamentally changed the way we consume information – and also how we deliver it.
The traditional Instructor-Led Training (ILT) that takes place in physical classrooms in front of learners, is now only one of many ways in which we get the information we need – but that doesn’t mean that it’s become obsolete. Far from it.
While online learning has indeed fostered a more self-dependent learning system, it encourages having a broad knowledge over deeper understanding. This obviously has its pros and cons, but it means that ILT still remains unchallenged as the time-tested way to create an intrinsic, more profound understanding of a subject.
