What’s with Scotland – Nation or Country?

On September 18, 2014 the people of Scotland voted against becoming an independent country and in favour of staying united with England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The results were clear as over 85% of the people of Scotland voted and had their voices heard as 55% of voters answered “no” to the question, “Should Scotland become an independent country?”

This event marks an important historical moment as the defeat of the secessionist movement and the victory of the unionists puts to rest a long standing debate over the state of the UK.

This is a big deal.
