Why a Brexit Could Harm Your Career Prospects

In just one week, Britain decides whether or not to remain in the European Union. It’s a decision that will ultimately affect everyone, but has the potential to be particularly damning if you’re a student.  

Being a part of the EU has improved the social mobility, education and employment prospects of thousands of Britons since we officially joined in 1973. But leaving would put all of that at risk.

Before you decide on whether to #VoteRemain or #VoteLeave, let’s look at 3 major contributions from the EU that have helped improve the employment prospects of students all over the UK and what could happen to them in the event of a Brexit.

1. Foreign exchanges

The Erasmus programme is a well known foreign exchange programme that allows students to study abroad during their University degree. As it currently stands, over 200,000 UK students and 20,000 UK university staff have spent time abroad and benefitted from the Erasmus exchange programme.
