Why choose MOOCs for higher education? MOOCs are designed to be extremely interactive. It uses all the interactive media/tools available on the internet to engage students. These tools collaborate learners and help them solve real world problems rather than discussing hypothetical material. Institutions in India like IIT Bombay and BITS Pilani are proposing to implement a Blended MOOC 7 model based on a combination of online access using the open-source edX platform and customization of the edX platform to incorporate multilingual support and potentially face to face instructor support at various physical centers across the country. World’s leading universities like Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Stanford are also offering MOOC’s which are free and openly available online. Together they host thousands of courses. They are also offering additional paid services like assessments and certification. This video is brought to you by the Team at Millionlights, Pune, India.
