Why is visual clarity so important for e-learning?

We are sure this has happened more than once: You open a text document or presentation and the amount of information included seems like a burden. Dozens of graphs, many text paragraphs, images over images. If you feel this has no purpose and you don’t want to waste your time tackling all this information, you know what we mean: visual disorder does not favor learning.



How do we process information?

Visual clarity in a course or presentation directly affects how we think we will process that information. If we face a crammed and disorganized document, we will feel we will have problems processing it. If the document is clear, airy and with less concepts per page, our perception will change completely. This has nothing to do with the content: Text can be crammed with an easy topic, and the clear document can be about quantum physics, but the presentation on screen (and its clarity, or lack of) influences us.
