Why Military Spouses Should Volunteer

Volunteering as a military spouse can be beneficial to you AND the organization you are supporting.

You already know that donating your valuable time to volunteer is admirable. But did you know that your valuable time spent volunteering can add value to you (and your resume!).

Volunteering has amazing benefits. I volunteer because not only is it good for my mind, body and soul, but I continue to learn much about myself and others while volunteering. I am always collecting new skills and discovering new personal strengths and weaknesses. It can be quite exciting and eye opening.

Being a military spouse can be tough all around. Volunteering can help to fill those gaps that you might be experiencing: resume gaps, friend gaps, skill gaps, job gaps, time gaps.
